Montecarlo Masters of Olive Oil

aBOUT THE pRODUCER
Three Milanese brothers, Vanni, Carlo and Marco Cattaneo, bought the estate in 2002. One of their main goals was to produce extraordinary olive oil, celebrating the great natural vocation of the area. The goal they have achieved without a doubt - an array of international prizes is an unquestionable proof.
Located between Chianti Classico and Valdarno, 130 hectares of olive groves ,vineyards and woods is a farm that regained its ancient prestige thanks to the hard work of the Cattaneo family.
The Tenuta San Jacopo’s territory is characterized by the typical Chianti’s hills. In central Tuscany landscape, Valdarno represents a very prestigious area. The closeness to Chianti, its morphologic conformation and its micro-climate, makes it an excellent oil-making area.
The proximity to Chianti guarantees the benefits from this area’s typical morphology, an average altitude, ideal for great olive oil production and a perfect breeze.
